The 13th KITE'2010 ( The 13th Kenya International Trade Exhibition'2010) jointly organized by Arabian Exposition, Dubai and EXPO Group, will be held at the Kenyatta International Conference Center (KICC) on 12-14 June 2010. The event which is set to attract participants from over 30 countries will be held in Nairobi for the 13th time as it celebrates its 13th birthday. With this the organizers – Arabian Exposition and Expo Group predicting the number of visitors and exhibitors is expected to rise by at least 20% since an aggressive campaign had been launched.
Trade visitors from all over East & Central African countries are being invited directly and in collaboration with several regional trade bodies in Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Uganda, Somalia, Mozambique & Zaire. Over 10,000 products ranging from automotive, building material, building and construction material, food and hotel supplies, confectionery, IT/Electronics, software, hardware and telecommunication, industrial machinery, consumer/household, medical and health care, printing and packaging, plastic and rubber will be showcased.
Though Kenya by itself is one of the biggest markets in Africa, major emphasis is being laid upon attracting traders and importers from neighboring countries. The organizers continue to say that experience and comments of exhibitors at previous events indicate substantial gains from unexpected foreign visitors and we strongly feel that a rise in such statistics would ensure business specially for the foreign participants who form almost 80 - 85% of the exhibition.
Last year the event attracted exhibitors from 30 countries including Australia, Canada, China Germany, USA, India, Austria, Yemen, UAE among others. A total of 17,600 trade exhibitors attended the exhibition with more than 1,800 overseas trade visitors from Burundi, Hongkong, Saudi Arabia, Mozambique, Nigeria and South Africa.
